Ingrid Ring
Good and evil. Light and dark. The contradictory parts of ourselves that we realize do not need to be reconciled or repressed but instead can exist together.
The toi et moi ring style seen here carries a unique history that created much gossip in 1796. Napoleon Bonaparte gave Joséphine de Beauharnais a toi et moi engagement ring, set with two pear-shaped stones—a diamond and a sapphire—nestled together, VERY different from the traditional engagement ring that was expected.
Here we have an emerald and a diamond: two individual stones, standing alone, neither disappearing into the other. These can represent two together, or even the person you were and the person you are becoming.
